Origin of the Name YAMU

The name “Yamu” comes from the Mongolian word for “relay station.” Its roots can be traced back to the Turkic language during the Yuan Dynasty. Over centuries of evolution, the term developed into “yam” or “jam” in Mongolian, referring to a relay station.
